Severe Weather Threat Ramps Up Today
UPDATED 3/21/22 12:15 PM CT —
Upgrade to Moderate Risk in parts of Texas. Moderate risk area includes Austin, Round Rock, College Station, Bryan and Temple. The threat of tornadoes has also been increased to 15% for the Moderate Risk area.

Severe weather is likely today for parts of Texas. An Enhanced Risk area includes Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Arlington.
Storm development is expected mid to late afternoon. All modes of severe weather are possible with any storms that move through the aforementioned areas including very large hail, damaging winds gusts, and tornadoes. A few strong tornadoes are possible, especially in the hatched area.
The greatest threat for tornadoes includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Arlington, Plano, Waco and Lufkin. *An upgrade to a Moderate Risk for these areas is possible as the day unfolds.*
