High Plains Severe Threat

Severe weather is likely today for parts of the High Plains. There is an Enhanced Risk for parts of the Dakotas and Nebraska. This includes Bismarck, ND, Rapid City, SD, and Grand Island, Kearney, and North Platte, NE.

All modes of severe weather will be possible with storms that develop later today, including large hail, damaging wind gusts, and even tornadoes. The greatest threat for tornadoes will be in western North and South Dakota and parts of northwestern Nebraska.
