Stormy for Eastern US
Thunderstorms are likely today for the eastern half of the US. Severe weather is possible. The SPC has issued an Enhanced Risk from far eastern Oklahoma through the Ohio River Valley. This includes Louisville, KY, Evansville, IN, and Fort Smith, Fayetteville and Jonesboro, AR.
Damaging wind gusts, hail, and tornadoes are all possible in these areas. The greatest threat for the strongest storms will be this afternoon into tonight. The tornado threat exists in the Enhanced Risk area and also farther south and east in northern Georgia and western South Carolina.
