Dorian Continues Northwesterly Track
Tropical Storm Dorian continues to move towards the northwest today, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds to parts of the eastern Caribbean.
Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for Martinique, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Puerto Rico. A Hurricane Watch is in effect for Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic from Isla Saona to Samana.
Dorian will continue to move over northeastern parts of the Caribbean Sea over the next few days. It is expected to strengthen to or near hurricane strength as it passes near or south of Puerto Rico on Wednesday.
As for U.S. mainland impacts: Florida needs to keep a very close eye on Dorian as forecasts continue to show this system tracking towards Florida’s eastern coast by late this weekend.
Stay tuned for updates.
