Upper Midwest Severe Threat

The SPC has outlined an Enhanced risk area for severe weather across parts of the Upper Midwest today.

This includes Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN, plus the greater Twin Cities metro area as well as Duluth, MN. The risk area also stretches into northwestern Wisconsin including Superior, Hayward, and Rice Lake.

The primary threat from this afternoon and evening’s storms will be the risk for damaging wind gusts. Large hail and an isolated tornado will also be possible.
