Tropical Storm Watches Posted for Hawaii

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Hawaii County. This means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the next 48 hours.

Hurricane Hector has weakened slightly but still remains a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph. Hector is moving westward around 16 mph and is expected to pass approximately 165 miles south of Hawaii’s Big Island on Wednesday.
