Significant Tornado Risk Today

There is a Moderate Risk of severe weather today from parts of extreme north Louisiana into southern Arkansas. This includes Little Rock, Pine Bluff, and Hot Springs in Arkansas and Texarkana, TX. Surrounding areas of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Mississippi are in an Enhanced Risk. Major cities include Memphis, TX, Shreveport, LA, and Tyler, TX.

Storms that develop in and around these areas later this afternoon will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, very large hail, and even a few tornadoes. There is a significant risk of tornadoes in the Moderate Risk area of north Louisiana and southern Arkansas.
