Severe Weather Threat to Start the Week

Day 1 Outlook

Severe thunderstorms are possible today and tomorrow across parts of the central and eastern United States. There is a Slight Risk for strong storms, mainly tonight, from Arkansas to Indiana. This includes St. Louis, MO, Little Rock, AR, and Springfield, IL. The main threats with any severe storms that develop will be the potential for strong winds and large hail.

Day 2 Outlook

 

Tomorrow will feature a broader area for potential severe weather. The Slight Risk stretches from parts of Mississippi and Alabama into Indiana and Ohio including Indianapolis, Nashville, and Birmingham. The main concern with storms on Tuesday will be the risk for damaging wind gusts, but locally large hail and maybe even an isolated tornado will also be possible.

The risk for a few strong storms will continue in the Southeast on Wednesday.
