Severe Weather Possible for Kansas and Oklahoma
There is an Enhanced risk for severe weather today for parts of eastern Kansas and north central Oklahoma. This is thanks to a strong cold front that will be sweeping across the mid section of the country. Strong storms are possible from Minnesota to Texas, but the greatest potential for supercells remains in the Central Plains.
As storms begin to develop later this afternoon, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible in parts of the Plains. After dark, damaging winds will become the primary threat.
