Large Hail Risk for Southern Plains

Severe weather is likely today for parts of the Southern Plains. All modes of severe weather will be possible. Very large hail will be the primary threat for parts of the western Ozarks and eastern Oklahoma.

An Enhanced Risk area includes Tulsa, Muskogee and Broken Arrow, OK and Joplin, MO. These areas have the greatest potential at very large hail, potentially 2″+ in diameter.

Isolated tornadoes are also possible today from eastern Oklahoma into far southeastern Kansas, southern Missouri and northern Arkansas and into western Kentucky and Tennessee.
